Hi Jon,

Thank you for the wonderful tour and introduction to the “Top End”. We have not long returned home and have enjoyed downloading our photo’s.

Our tour with you of Kakadu was fantastic, being off the beaten track and experiencing the area away from the bigger tourist groups. We found your knowledge on the birdlife, flora and fauna, plus your insight to the local culture so informative, making our trip one we will remember for a long time.

The few days we spent at Bamurru were wonderful, made more enjoyable as a result of what we had learned from you. ( especially being able to identify the bird life. )

The Ghan was certainly worthwhile doing, especially leaving from Darwin.  We did a couple of their ‘Whistle Stop Tours’  of Katherine Gorge and a Helicopter ride over Alice Springs.

All in all our trip was fantastic and a great tick off our ‘Bucket List’.  Your tour was one we could certainly recommend. If we ever get to return to the Northern Territory, we would once again love to do another tour with you.

Hello Jon,

I just spoke to Matt Cross about Jacob’s Starlight Wish.  You will be happy to know that they said that it
all went perfectly, and that they couldn’t have asked for any more!  The problem is that they now have the
travelling bug and want to do it all again!

They said that you were “like part of the family”.  The 4 wheel driving was great and Jacob loved the mix
of track types.  Apparently, Jacob used his chair to go off by himself when you stopped which was exactly what they wanted to achieve.  Matt said the family felt like they had special treatment from you all the way. 

We honestly couldn’t have granted this amazing Starlight Wish without your support and so please accept this heartfelt thank you from all at Starlight!  I have posted you a thank you certificate that hopefully you can display with pride!

BROOKES AUSTRALIA TOURS (WITH JON LOWE) Two days/two nights Kakadu.  June 6,7 2010

Wonderful two days, we shared the land cruiser with another couple and all had the most amazing time. 
Cant praise Jon enough, he is totally client focussed and couldn't do enough for us - was endlessly patient
with requests to stop for photographs, stop for amazing view, stop for toilet, or stop to change shoes! 
Showed a genuine interest in all his guests - where we had been already, what ongoing travel plans we had,
etc etc. Nothing was too much trouble and infact when we went to Gunlom falls, we had to dissuade him
from carrying all the lunch gear right up the hill to the water hole........ just because he thought it might be
a nicer picnic spot than at the bottom!!  Showed concern for our comfort at all times. 

If he did not know the answer  to any of our queries, he would source the answer as soon as he could and
let us know. Great food, as much as we could possibly want, good variety, morning and afternoon tea and
icecreams provided.  Chilled water in cool bags for all of us, these were refilled as often as we needed.
Drove in a very considerate manner, we never had any concerns in that department.

In short, this man should have a great future as a tour guide, and we all wish him well. 

Sally and Adrian continued on for another day with Jon (we flew out to arnhemland at this point)  However we did catch up with them in Darwin after further adventurings all around, and they reiterated how much they had enjoyed his company/comfortable vehicle/great food and choice of wonderful sights. 
ALL IN ALL, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My wife and I recently returned from a holiday to Darwin and surrounds which you arranged for us and we are writing to say that we enjoyed the trip immensely. We had wanted to learn more about northern Australia and aboriginal culture and your suggestion of travelling with ‘Brookes Australia Tours’ was excellent advice. We want to thank Graeme (our driver and guide) for his very informative commentary and for ensuring that our tour into Kakadu suited our interests and fitness levels. Because of his knowledge and professionalism, our understanding of aboriginal culture has been enriched and we bring back fantastic photographs and memories of the very different and spectacular landscape. A really terrific holiday and we will certainly recommend this tour to our friends.

I would like to particularly comment on Brooks Australia Touring ….I think its John Brooks … my clients
cant speak highly enough of the passion that John has.. its more than a job .. did you know that he has a

friend who has a helicopter and he sometimes goes up with him and from air can see areas that he thinks
would make for an interesting stop for morning tea or from a cultural interest. Always wanting to go that
one step forward.

I know we have the Australian Travel Industry Awards usually won by huge Operators, but is there some way that John and his company can receive recognition. I know that the Terrortians are special people, but I am sure John is bringing a very high standard to private touring.

I would like to add that the Coughlans and Solomons are well travelled and I always appreciate their opinions and constructive criticism . I pass this information onto my clients and to the other consultants in the office.
